Hall-Garcia Cardiology Associates affiliated with the Texas Heart Institute Dr. Hall obtained his pre-medical education at Canisius College and his medical degree
from the University of Buffalo, School of Medicine, both in Buffalo, New York. Following an Internship at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York, Dr. Hall completed his Residency in
Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at Walter Reed General Hospital, Washington D.C. A distinguished Army career spanned 21 years and included service in
the Korean conflict and in Japan. He also served as Chief of Cardiology at Brooke General Hospital San Antonio, Texas, and as Chief of Cardiology at Walter Reed General
Hospital, Washington D.C. Dr. Hall was awarded the Legion of Merit when he retired as Colonel.
Dr. Hall specializes in Clinical and Diagnostic Cardiology. He is Board Certified in Internal
Medicine and in Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology and the Council of Clinical Cardiology of the American
Heart Association. Dr. Hall is the founding Medical Director of the Texas Heart Institute and
former Chief of Cardiology at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas. He is currently Director of Cardiology
Education at both Institutions. He holds appointments as Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine
and at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Hall is the Director of the Cardiology Fellowship
Program at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and has received the Laureate Award of the American College of
Physicians, and the Outstanding Teacher Awards from the Texas Heart Institute and from the Department of
medicine, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Hall is the Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Heart Institute Journal and serves on
the Editorial Board of Circulation. He is author or co-author of over 250 publications. He and Mrs. Dorothy N. Hall are the parents of five children and have twelve grandchildren.
